Waiting...

I hate playing the waiting game. I want her here now. I'm having a hard time keeping myself busy...even though I feel fine, I just don't really feel like doing anything. I'll 'want" to get up and clean and organize something but it won't end up happening. I really need to find something to do that doesn't take up too much energy but is constructive.

My plans for tomorrow and the rest of the week:

1. Put up Christmas tree
2. Decorate Christmas tree
3. Knit some more booties
4. Make orniments out of sculpey to give as gifts.
5. Clean Bathroom
6. Go to Whole Foods and buy RECHARGE (for labor)
7. Make birthing CD
8. Make an appointment to get carseat installed
9. Do some Christmas shopping
10. Midwife appointment on Tuesday

That should keep me busy for at least a little while this week.

Oh, and the name we chose for the baby has definately been decided. If your really nice to me and ask really nice, I might tell you. :)

37 weeks

37 weeks today! Yippie. I went to see my backup midwife yesterday. Everything seems to be fine. Heart rate is good and she said that her head is pretty low. Not totally dropped yet but she wasn't really high. Her head is down so she doesn't seem like she is going to go anywhere from now till I have her. I'm just wishing she will come soon!

At least she has a name now...well, 95% sure...just no middle name yet.

I was 36 weeks on Tuesday! I am officially in the home stretch. Everyone throw some labor dust on me so I don't have the baby AFTER Xmas. Sometime between the day after Thanksgiving and Dec 15th is fine with me. But, with my luck i'll go past 40 weeks...hopefully not.

*Sigh*

time to start my day.

Monday, Monday, Monday. Tomorrow I turn 34 weeks! Yay only 2 more weeks until my midwife homebirth appointment at my house! ALthough there are a few things I need to get in order before then. First of all, we need to set up all the stuff...Like the pack n' play, and I gotta ge the cosleeper...and I gotta buy a stupid birth kit plus I gotta buy a bunch of stuff for it. I'm kinda mad I have to buy all that seeing as i'm paying a midwife like $3,400.00! Can't she bring these thingS? Ugh. I love my midwife but you would think some of that money i'm paying her goes towards stuff like that. Luckly insurance is paying me back...I think! She said she is almost positive everything will get reimbursed.

Anyway, I gotta figure out what to do today. Its cold! I should probably do some grocery shopping and pick up the birth stuff and order the kit. So, i'll be going now.

Later!

Stupid baby preparation list are daunting me. I feel like I have pretty much everything I need...except for a baby monitor and a video camera. However, I feel like i'm missing something. I do'nt know what though and I can't look at those stupid baby lists anymore because about half of the stuff on there is usless money wasting stuff that the baby really doesn't "NEED." So, i'm not sure what to do. I have diapers, wipes, clothes, powder, bath stuff, pack n' play with built in changer, bobby (nursing pillow), one of those carrier covers that keeps baby warm without having to put a jacket on her/him, 2 umbrella strollers, baby health kits, vibrating seat, stroller/carrier combo, blankets, bibs, etc. I think those are pretty much the essentials. I'm borrowing a cosleeper from Trish...I suppose I should get a few more sheets for it but other than that I feel that I am just going shopping for stuff that im not sure i'll actually use/need. I guess I should just wait until I actually need the stuff before I buy it. I have enough stuff for now that i'm not going to be running to the store every 2 seconds...

Well, thats the baby stuff I have, I just need to get all the birth stuff ready> Arg...

So, I had my baby shower this weekend! Yay! Sunday was my birthday AND my baby shower :) It was a fun day. A lot of people came and I was happy to see everyone. We painted baby pumpkins (my sisters awesome idea) and my mom was the host of a baby trivia game that we played. I only got 10 our of like 20 questions right but so did most people ha ha. I got a lot of nice gifts which I am very grateful for. My Italian Village friends got me the travel system (carseat and stroller combo) as well as some clothes and a baby bag :) My grandma got me a pack and play which came with a free umbrella stroller :) Bethany, sent me a box of a bunch of stuff from my registry, Hannah got me a baby tub, and I also got a bunch of other nice gifts that will be very helpful for the baby like a baby survival kit, and a medical type kit which will come in handy. Now that I have all this stuff, I am so excited for her to come!!!

My midwife is saying I should not be looking at my due date as (the date I should have my baby by) because if I do then I might be dissapointed if the baby comes later...that means I should be focusing on after Christmas! NO! That doesn't mean she won't come before Christmas, she just said not to get my hopes up just in case...although my hopse are still up.

I went to the midwife today, everything is normal. I am 33 weeks and I am measuring 32 weeks which is a week behind still but thats ok. The baby still seems to be head down. Her baby bum is just above my belly button and her back is on my left side which means she is on her side. Which also means that I amd definately getting "kicked" on my right sid and not punched. By 36 weeks which is in 3 weeks I have to buy all the stuff I will need for the birth as well as a birth kit I have to buy online. I don't think it will be any more than $100...at least i'm hoping it won't be. Paige said I should have all my stuff set up by 36 weeks also because I could "go" anytime after that. So, within the next 3 weeks I have to set up the Pack n' play and go over to Caleb and Trish's and pick up the cosleeper. I think i'm going to wait till shes born before bringing over the swing because I already have enough stuf around her taking up space. Trish also said I could go through Amelia's old clothes and borrow some of them. I think i'll def go over there and go through the 0-3 month old stuff just so ill have that, then after she grows out of that, i'll bring those back and get the 3-6 month stuff. I'm very thankful that Caleb and Trish are letting me borrow some of their clothes because they grow so fast!!! I got some cute outfits myself though that I will also be using. I bought the first outfit that I want her to wear which is a little pink blaketsleeper (I want her to be comfy when she gets dressed for the first time). The blanketsleeper says "honey bunny" on it and has a picture of  a bunny. My favorite part about it is the feet of the P.J's are bunnies! How cute is that? I can't wait for her to wear it. I"m so excited! :)

I also have to decide weather or not I want to get the strep test done. I think I probably will just to rule out any possible problems. Which means, I have to make another apointment with my CNM and get the test done. Its ok though cause all my prenatals there are covered through insurance with no copay!

Anyway, must get going. Until next time!

I had my first ever Dermatologist appointment today. It was weird. The doctor (a woman) was very very nice. However when we were talking about moles and she was checking all of the ones I had from head to toe she told me that she "loves moles." She really liked the one I had in my belly button because it was unique and she had never seen one there before. I guess she is in the right line of work if she "loves moles" ha ha. Anyway, I had a mole that had been bothering me and I wanted to get it checked out cause it was hurting me. I wasn't sure if it was just cause it was in an area that was being streched from my belly getting bigger or it was an acutal problem. However, she looked at it and told me that she could take it off and it didn't look like anything to worry about. She was just taking it off cause it was bothering me. However, she is going to biopsy it just to make sure. I totally did not think that even if she was going to remove it she would do it the first time I came in. But, she did. It didn't take long. She just gave me a shot of novacane. She said it was perfectly safe to have it during pregnancy and not to worry so I trusted her. Ironically the only part of the procedure that hurt was the shot of novacane. Also she told me that the dry spot I had on my head was cradle cap...there is no real way to treat it especially when pregnant. I just need to buy something with tea tree oil in it.

So today I have my first prenatal Yoga class. I hope it goes well cause it cost a lot. It's an 8 week session which will bring me to the end of November. Yoga will be interesting at pretty much 9 months pregnant. Hopefully I'll be able to move at that point.

Anywho. I'll post tomorrow about how Yoga was. Now its off to the grocery store.

My Beta fishy just died. He lived about 2 years. Maybe a little more...Sucks. Maybe its something to do with Mercury Retrograde. Anyone else feeling the effects of it? It just started on Friday and I think it ends on October 15th. Why does it have to last such a long time! ?

Ugh...begginning a dizzy stint again. Hopefully it doesn't last too long. It's been going on for a few days now. It totally sucks! I really don't get what is causing it. I mean I had an MRI in June so i'm guessing its nothing serious or something would have showed up. And, its not constant. Some days i'll have it and some days I won't...well its not really that i'm dizzy just lightheaded. It makes me not want to do anything cause I feel weird when I walk around. Bright lights in stores still bother me too. But not all the time. I don't know if this is a pregnancy thing or still Lyme disease related.

Really hoping it goes away soon! Tuesday I start week 29. Getting closer!!!! I just wish I could start my "nesting" I just don't have anything for the baby yet. I'm going to wait till after my shower to get anything but thats not for another month or so...I still don't know if we are moving or not yet. I mean it will be pretty hard to buy a house and move in in 2 months. That is a lot of work. But, if we find something we like then maybe it will move forward quickly.

Anyway. I'm gonna go make a quick trip to AC moore for some more yarn. This baby will have lots of booties!!

Ok so yesterday I had my glucose test. My midwife came around 9am and Andrew made us omlets while she did the finger prick thing. My fasting blood reading was 79. Then we ate breakfast and she told me I needed to have something with sugar in it so I had a glass of cranberry juice but she said that wasn't enough. So, after an omlet and a half a bagel I had to eat a bowl of cinnimon toast crunch.  It was the thing I had with the most sugar in it at my house. Boy was I full after all that!!! After I finished, we went for a walk down by the Marina and walked the small beach they have down there. Then we came back, chatted for a while and then she did the prick again (2 hours after eating). My readinng after 2 hours read 84. I guess to be high it has to be 140 or over. So I passed with flying colors!!! :) Yay! Also my blood pressure was perfect and my pulse and the baby was measuring 27 inches (just entered week 28 which is fine).

It was good cause I got to ask her a lot of questions about the birth and all that. She says I don't really need a birth plan because I can basically do anything I want as I feel neccessary. She said birth plans are good when you go to the hospital cause you want to tell ) them what you don't want them to do. She said that basically after I go into labor I am the queen and everyone should be doing stuff for me so I basically get what I want :) Thats not always a bad thing! Also, its looking like my insurance is covering most if not all of the midwife fees! Wahooo!!!! Thats some money back in my pocket which is good. She can't come any later than the 31st thogh (which would be 2 weeks late...i'm hoping I wouldn't be that late).

Anywho...been thinking about Christmas and Thanksgiving and whats going on for those holidays. I just know that I want to stay around here for Christmas (obviously) cause I don't  think i'll be wanting to take a 2 week old to Block Island. I'll be needing my rest. I don't mind traveling other places in RI though. Hopefully we will be able to figure everything out.

Anyway, I have rambled to much. Time to start laundry and figure out the day. I'm doing pretty well these past couple days (knock on wood). My knitting is keeping me pretty busy.
